Top 4 Types of Christmas Trees #3: Scotch Pine

What is a Scotch Pine?

Originally from Europe, the Scotch Pine is a long-needled tree with needles as long as three inches.

What does it look like?

Scotch pines are wide, bright green trees, almost as full as a White Pine but with stronger branches.

Appearance: Scotch Pines are beautiful trees, and you can decorate them as you wish. However, they don't have the needle retention of the fir varieties, so expect to clean up after them.

How does it smell?

Scotch pines have very little fragrance compared to the other three varieties.

How should I decorate it?

Like White Pines, Scotch Pines look fantastic decorated with lights and garlands, ribbons, or lightweight ornaments. Scotch Pines can also be decorated with more heavy ornaments, but they might get lost in the fullness of the tree.
