Thinking about getting a real Christmas tree this year but not sure how you'd get it on your car? This video shows the Christmas tree baling process we use to allow us to get many trees on a truck without damage, and we use a very similar process after we help you select a perfect tree.
We'll bale it and tie it to your car for NO extra charge! Stop by Tree City, Madison from 9am-9pm, starting November 25!
Tis the season for Christmas tree harvesting! The trees we'll start cutting will be ready for you at Tree City starting the day after Thanksgiving when we open for the season!
Stop by and we'll help you select the perfect tree for a perfect Christmas.
In the springtime, Farmer Wade feeds pine tree seedlings through the planting machine, pulled by his father on a tractor. These little trees have to grow a long time before they'll be ready for Christmas! (Just how long? Keep reading...)
How do seed planters work? First comes the tractor, which pulls the machine. Then the rolling coulter (the wheel that looks spiky) cuts a line into the ground. A wedge pushes into the line, creating a trench. Then Wade puts the seedling (a baby tree) into a rotating distributor, which plants the trees an equal space apart.
When you take home your Christmas tree this year, just think—your tree was probably planted eight years ago. What year was that? What were you up to when your tree was planted?
